I am a victimologist who studies the causes and consequences of violent victimization and also have experience evaluating violence prevention programs. The majority of my work has focused on violence against women (including IPV, dating violence, and sexual violence) and hate crimes. I value practitioner-research partnerships and have worked with a variety of agencies including law enforcement and victim service providers. My community-based collaborations and research has been funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Institute of Justice (NIJ), and Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA).
