Since 2019, a group of experts by experience and experts by profession have been working together to identify research priorities around the support and recovery needs of survivors.
This is an important initiative urgently needed due to the scarcity of sexual violence research. We hope this work will be a spring board for future investigations, service improvements and bespoke clinical guidelines. These findings have the power to very influential so we welcome researchers, funders and anybody who has a vested interested in this topic to come along.
Topics covered include: support and recovery outcomes valued by survivors, how to best support marginalised groups, tackling stigma in society and the impact of involvement with the criminal justice system.
