From the National Center for Victims of Crime:
Scams and fraud are ongoing and rapidly escalating problems. Researchers and advocates have sought to understand the dynamics of financial fraud victimization, however, the drivers behind chronic, repeated fraud victimization have remained a mystery. The FINRA Investor Education Foundation and the AARP Fraud Watch Network will discuss research examining the problem of chronic fraud victimization and identifying points of intervention that could serve to disrupt the fraud cycle. Also, hear about a movement on the need to change the way we talk about fraud victims — and how it could lead to meaningful change.
