John C. Navarro, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin–Parkside in the Department of Criminal Justice. Navarro earned his Ph.D. in Criminal Justice at the University of Louisville. His research interests include victimization, social ecology, public policies, and spatial analyses. His most recent projects involved administering surveys to gauge rape myth attitudes of university students enrolled at Division I public and private institutions across the nation, as well as exploring neighborhood perceptions of recently relocated residents who reside nearby registered sex offenders.
