BIO

Christine Lindquist, PhD, is a program director in the Division for Applied Justice Research at RTI International. Dr. Lindquist has a PhD in Medical Sociology, and her research interests and areas of expertise include sexual misconduct and associated climate in institutions of higher education, workplace sexual harassment, and the victimization-offending overlap. Dr. Lindquist has played key roles on several federally-funded surveys related to sexual misconduct in academia. She co-authored a qualitative study of the impact of sexual harassment on the career trajectories of women faculty in science, engineering, and medicine funded by the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine. She also served as Associate Project Director on the Campus Climate Survey Validation Study (CCSVS), which was funded by the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) and the Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) and involved surveying 23,000 students across 9 universities to prevalence estimates of sexual harassment and sexual assault experienced by students, along with the associated climate. Dr. Lindquist was also co-Principal Investigator on the National Institute of Justice-funded Campus Sexual Assault (CSA) Study and the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) CSA Study, a Senior Climate Survey Expert on the OVW-funded Campus Grantee Training and Technical Assistance project, and leads faculty and student climate surveys for various institutions of higher education. She has also designed studies assessing the victimization experiences of incarcerated populations and coauthored a comprehensive review of victimization among LGBTQ communities.
