BIO
My research interests center on reducing burnout and secondary trauma among criminal justice professionals, as well as improving university and system response to intimate partner stalking. Prior to graduate school, I worked with juvenile sex offenders and youths with emotional and behavioral issues. I also worked for a statewide sexual and domestic violence coalition where we partnered with schools, victim advocacy centers, medical, and legal professionals to improve system response to intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and stalking. I have helped conduct a process and outcome evaluation of a family justice center and a community coordinated response to IPV and sexual violence. I am currently the principal investigator on a longitudinal study of burnout among new and tenured police chiefs. Finally, I have been certified by the National Center for Victims of Crime's Stalking Resource Center to train practitioners on stalking investigations
