BIO
The majority of my research is quantitative in nature, primarily survey-based, with a focus on sexual violence, gender and crime, victimology, and victim services. Much of this research has resulted in publications in peer-reviewed journals (e.g., Journal of Sexual Aggression, Victims & Offenders, Criminal Justice Policy Review) and book chapters. I have also authored and/or contributed to several technical reports through community partnerships with governmental agencies (e.g., Health and Welfare) and victim service providers (e.g., local family justice center). The most significant of these projects was a statewide needs assessment of victim services which utilized multiple methodologies in order to determine the needs and barriers of crime victims and victim service providers across the state. I also serve on a variety of committees in the community focused on addressing victimization and victim services, and as a domestic violence expert witness for several county prosecutors.
