Dr. Jasinski's research interests focus primarily on the areas of lethal and non-lethal interpersonal violence with an emphasis on intimate partner violence, substance abuse, and institutional responses to violence. Her research appears in journals including Child Abuse & Neglect, Violence Against Women, Violence and Victims, Social Science Quarterly, and the Journal of Interpersonal Violence among others. She is also one of the leads on the University of Central Florida Violence Against Women Faculty Cluster and has received several grants from the National Institute of Justice, the most recent of which resulted in the co-authored research monograph Hard Lives, Mean Streets: The experience of violence in the lives of homeless women. She has worked closely with local law enforcement and domestic violence shelters to identify evidence based practices to assist victims of violence.
