Dr. Adria E. Navarro holds an appointment as Associate Professor with the School of Behavioral and Applied Sciences at Azusa Pacific University, near Los Angeles, CA. She received her doctorate from the USC Davis School of Gerontology in 2011, having worked for over 15 years as an administrator, licensed clinical social worker, and special project manager with Huntington Hospital Senior Care Network. Adria describes herself as an educator and community practitioner, involved in clinical supervision, training, and academia. Her research activities have focused heavily on the response to elder abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation. Her work has specifically studied interprofessional teams, undue influence, and decisional capacity She has co-authored 14 publications and serves on boards and professional committees. She is currently a member of the National Adult Protective Services Research Committee.
