About the Researcher

Amanda Ni, Ph.D. (expected May 2026), is a researcher and educator specializing in communication, gender, and social justice. Her current project, Culturally Responsive Communications: Domestic Violence Organizations’ Strategies for Asian Women Survivors in the U.S., examines how survivor-centered and trauma-informed communication practices can reduce barriers for marginalized communities. Amanda has taught Women’s & Gender Studies and Communication courses at Syracuse University and has presented her work at multiple academic conferences such as International Communication Association and International Association for Media and Communication Research. She brings both academic expertise and practical insights relevant for advocates, service providers, and justice professionals.
