Before pursing academia, Dr. Rae Taylor was a victim advocate in the criminal justice system. For over a decade, she has studied interpersonal violence, structural and organizational responses to violence, and social inequalities. She is active in teaching, research, and service to the New Orleans community, including criminal justice systems at the local and state levels.
