BIO
My research primarily focuses on women who have experienced interpersonal forms of trauma and become involved with the child protection and criminal justice system. I have sought to understand the prevalence of trauma among women who are involved with these systems, changes that need to be made to increase service/program effectiveness as well as the process of healing from trauma. My future research aspirations include testing the effectiveness of trauma-informed interventions, particularly as it relates to race, gender, and class.
