BIO
Dr. Cris M. Sullivan is Director of MSU’ Research Consortium on Gender-based Violence, Co-Director of the Michigan Victim Advocacy Network, and Professor of Ecological/Community Psychology. In addition to her MSU roles, Dr. Sullivan is the Senior Research Advisor to the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence. Her areas of expertise include designing and rigorously testing community-based interventions for survivors of gender-based violence, and examining change over time. Her work has been funded by the National Institute of Mental Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, DOJ Office on Violence Against Women, and the National Institute of Justice, among others. She engages in collaborative, participatory research and evaluation that is designed to lead to positive change in policy and practice.
