Alan R. King is a professor of psychology at the University of North Dakota. He earned his PhD in clinical psychology from Louisiana State University in 1984. His research program focuses on childhood maltreatment, personality development, and aggression. His studies have appeared more recently in the Journal of Child Sexual Abuse, Psychiatric Annals, Journal of Aggression, Maltreatment, & Trauma, Violence and Victims, Child Abuse & Neglect, Journal of Interpersonal Violence, Personality and Individual Differences, and others.
