BIO

Prior to joining RTI International, Lynn spent over a decade at the Bureau of Justice Statistics, where she oversaw the National Crime Victimization Survey - a complex, nationally representative survey of 225,000 persons per year, as well as a variety of substantive, statistical, and methodological tasks related to improving the design and utility of the NCVS, and the development of the BJS Victim Services Statistical Research Program. She has experience designing and implementing major data collections, including the first ever National Census of Victim Service Providers, which collected data from approximately 20,000 victim service providers nationwide; the Campus Climate Survey Validation Study, which collected data on experiences with sexual assault from more than 23,000 undergraduate students, and supplements to the NCVS, collecting data on topics like financial fraud. She has published extensively on topics ranging from hate crime to identity theft to campus sexual assault, the socio-emotional consequences of victimization, and victim help-seeking. Lynn holds a PhD in Criminology, Law and Society from the University of Florida.
