BIO
My professional interests include studying violent victimization, particularly related to intimate partner violence and sexual abuse. I have researched and published on sexual abuse in the prison context in a large state prison system. Relatedly, I have evaluated programs aimed to reduce prison sexual abuse and facilitate victim help-seeking as part of multi-year process and outcome evaluation with a jail. Additionally, I have worked with local community corrections agency to collect data and analyze findings regarding batterer intervention programs (and other rehabilitative programs). Also in this vein of research, I have analyzed data and published research regarding lethal domestic violence encounters.
