BIO
I am an Associate Professor in the Division of Social Work at University of Wyoming, Laramie. My research interests include violence against minority women including immigrant South Asian women (i.e., from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and Maldives), refugees and other immigrant populations, human trafficking, international social work, usage of social network sites and mental health of college students, social and public policy, and social justice. My overall vision is to invest time in collaboration and development of best practices with women and victimization, facilitate multidisciplinary research in the field of violence and victimization against minority women (including immigrant South Asian women) and train social work researchers in related areas.
