BIO
Dr. Jennifer Obinna has over 20 years of experience in the field of research, evaluation, and strategic planning. While she has worked on hundreds of projects spanning a vast array of topics, her areas of emphasis are in preventing violence against women, reducing racial disparities in the criminal justice system and understanding the merits of culturally-specific programming to promote health and wellness. Dr. Obinna uses an innovative participatory approach in her research, evaluation and strategic planning practice called Technology of Participation (ToPĀ®) that ensures full engagement of diverse stakeholders. Dr. Obinna holds a Ph.D. in Social Welfare and Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has taught research methods and interpersonal violence courses at the University of Minnesota, School of Social Work.
