Elyssa Schroeder is currently a doctoral student at the University of Georgia School of Social Work researching gender-based violence and complex trauma. She previously worked at the Texas Council on Family Violence supporting over 100 domestic violence programs and allied professionals throughout the state. Elyssa has showed her professional commitment to domestic violence and human trafficking survivors by developing a health & wellness program for women living in India, serving in a domestic violence agency in South Texas, and working with local law enforcement and court officials to create a Victim Services Department in rural Texas.
