DESCRIPTION:Presenters on this webinar from the Bureau of Justice Statistics will deliver a methodological overview on producing overall state estimates and demographic subgroup estimates from NCVS data using multivariate Bayesian small area estimation (SAE) models. This session will cover model formulation\, the challenges of applying SAE techniques to victimization survey data\, and the implications for researchers and others interested in geographically disaggregated crime statistics. Yet serious and highly visible incidents involving large groups of young people are raising legitimate public concern.
