This research explores victims' experiences with various response systems, including the criminal justice system, the health system, and the spiritual community. Her work is both quantitative and qualitative, and has included community-based participatory research. Previous and current research projects include work with families and friends of homicide victims, families and friends affected by suicide, and intimate partner violence affecting the Deaf community.
